Welcome
Church photograph
Welcome to the home page of Hemyock Baptist Church. Our site is currently undergoing re-development, so please bear with us if you find pages still under construction, we'll be fully functional soon!

We are blessed to be situated here in the largest village in the Devon Blackdown Hills, an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.  Located between Honiton and Taunton, the village boasts a wide variety of clubs and organisations which give it a real sense of community.

In 2015 we celebrated our 150th anniversary - our building was opened by renowned preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon in 1865.

Today, we are a friendly all-age fellowship, aiming to engage positively with our community and the world around us. We reach out with the message of God's love for all,  personified in Jesus Christ. We are faithful in prayer, in teaching God's word and in serving others. We aim to actively encourage the spiritual, practical and theological development of believers and we also support mission partners, both prayerfully and practically, around the world.

We hope that you enjoy taking a look around the site and finding out a bit more about us - and we look forward to hearing from you or seeing you in person at one of our many events if you find yourself here on the Somerset / Devon border!

With every blessing,

Pastor Steve Williams
